For your convenience we will prepare personal laminated shipping tags for your hides, horns and skulls. Attach the tags to your hides, horns and skulls for shipment to Heads Above The Rest, Inc. Identification tags are available upon request at no charge. Allow two weeks for delivery.

Please contact us before you leave on your safari or your next hunting adventure. We will give you a packet how to care for your trophies and what to look out for packet. Be sure that the items being sent are properly preserved. (Call us for tips on salting.) If in the field never let someone put salt on your hide or cape unless all meat and fat has been properly removed, lips split and ears turned all the way out. Salt can only penetrate 1/4 of an inch. If your cape or hide can not be properly prepared for salting, it must be frozen or kept cool until it reaches the taxidermist.

Wrap salted hides in burlap or cloth. Any moisture trapped in a plastic bag may cause irreparable hair slippage or rotting of your hide or cape.

For shipments arriving from out side the continental U. S. A.: "Shipments arrive freight collect." We encourage Freight Charges be prepaid. This will often eliminate surprises, additional charges, etc. Make sure all of your paper work is in order and all-correct permits have been applied for and received. We can not process your shipment without proper papers and permits. You may be subject to storage charges or additional expenses if permits are not immediately available.
